AOC Says Boebert Is ‘Acting Like a Worthless Piece of Household furniture When Babies Are Shot’

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Wednesday ripped into Rep. Lauren Boebert around her anti-gun regulation stance pursuing a mass capturing at a Texas elementary university that still left at minimum 19 young children and two adults dead

The mass killing on Tuesday reignited discussions amongst Democrats on Capitol Hill about gun-reform legislation, whilst Republicans mainly appeared skeptical about having federal coverage steps to beat gun violence.

“You are not able to legislate absent evil,” Boebert, a Colorado Republican, wrote on Twitter on Wednesday morning.

Ocasio-Cortez seized on Boebert’s responses, tweeting: “Why even be in Congress if you don’t consider in undertaking your work?”

“Just stop and enable an individual who really provides a damn do it in its place of acting like a ineffective piece of household furniture when toddlers are shot with AR15s that we allow teenager boys impulse obtain just before they can lawfully have a beer,” the New York Democrat included, referring to state legislation that permit 18-yr-olds to invest in assault rifles. 

Ocasio-Cortez has previously criticized Boebert for putting up a photograph of herself and her younger little ones posing although keeping assault weapons. 

Boebert replied to her Democratic colleague’s criticism later on Wednesday, tweeting, “Ms. Defund the Police, Gun Free Zones have established to be fatal. Enable me know when you’re completely ready to do your occupation and properly shield our educational facilities with armed stability. Let’s fulfill and address this.”
